Dovetail Developments is delighted to share that Peter Brown Architects has received a Commendation award for their design of Dovetail’s project, The Belle Apartments, from Knox City Council in their Design & Development Excellence Awards for 2019. The Belle Apartments, under the Activity Areas property classification, was described by judges as being worthy of a commendation due to its strong presentation of a rhythmic arrangement of floating geometric elements, which resulted in an “approachable” creative response that was entirely fitting of the local community’s context. The Dovetail Team prides itself on its ability to effectively collaborate with specialists in their field to provide beneficial outcomes for home buyers and the local community as a whole. The Belle Apartments has progressed considerably with practical completion on the horizon. Landscaping has been finalised in addition to our Display Apartment, located in the ground floor apartment of this complex, being completed. A lot of hard work has helped The Belle’s construction to advance very quickly in the final weeks of the year. Amongst the achievements are the completion of all internal fit-out works in addition to the installation of external finishes. The application of cladding to the project’s external surfaces has allowed us to visualise the positive impact on The Belle’s presence will have on the local urban landscape.

This project’s internal fit out is advancing further with kitchen installation in progress whilst the application of external finishes is well underway. The rear and sides of the project have had their cladding and brickwork rendering completed, with the front façade finishes to be applied shortly.
